Hello!

In our academic network we have a lot of AP's (R250D-E, 2050DN and 4050DN). The AP's are connected through L2 Switches, and finally they are connected to AC6605. So, the main idea is that the AP's are controlled by AC6605. The problem is about speed. I have no problem that the speed varies between 200-250 Mb/s or 250-300Mb/s. (that's fine and normal) The problem is when I take a speedtest. The 1st test shows a speed between 200-300 Mb/s. The 2nd shows 20-30 Mb/s. The 3rd shows again 200-300 Mb/s and so on. For the speedtest I use the smartphone with the protocol 802.11ac and the channel size of the AP is 80 MHz.

The question is why the speed varies so drastically? Why I don't have a medium speed? Did I configure something wrong?

Thank you!

Hi user_4111597,
friend, According to your description, there is no problem with your configuration. Because there are a lot of factors that interfere with the wireless network. (Environment, air interface, too many wireless devices around, electromagnetics, etc.) So it's possible that this is what you're talking about. In this case, you are advised to configure channel calibration or air interface calibration.

Thank you for your answer. It's useful. To be sure, I have configured the channels manual, like this: 2.4 GHz = 1, 6, 11 and 5 GHz = 36, 52, 100, 116, but the problem with the Internet speed doesn't disappear. The speed is still fluctuating. Do you have any advice?
Thank you!

Currently, there is no good optimization solution for the rate fluctuation of the wireless network. It is recommended that the wireless network maintain a good wireless environment to reduce wireless interference.
