This Policy describes how Huawei processes your personal and privacy data and our promise on privacy protection, but may not address all possible data processing scenarios. Huawei may inform you of product- or service-specific data collection through supplementary policies or notices provided before the collection. Please read this Privacy Policy and any supplementary policies or notices in order to fully understand our policy regarding specific products or services.


1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Data

Personal data means any information which alone or jointly with other information can be used to identify a natural person. Such data includes your name, contact address, ID number, phone number, account, and IP address and time through which and when you use the Community. The data will be collected when you use the Community. We collect and use your personal data only for the purposes stated in this Policy. We may use your personal data to send you information about products and services that you may be interested in. 1.1 Personal Data We Collect

1.1.1 Personal Data Provided to Us Directly

When you register an account and publish your profile, you need to provide information for the account, such as your email address, mailing address, and phone number. When you modify your account, use it for login, or communicate with us through other methods, you also provide us with some information. When you share content of the Community with your friends, you need to provide their contact information, such as their names, profile pictures of their accounts, phone numbers, and email addresses. You can also communicate and share with friends through some components of the Community. Measures are taken to ensure the security of all such communication. If you encounter any problems, please submit detailed error messages to us.

Personal data includes your username, nickname, gender, company name, email address for registration, email address for contact,nationality, phone number and IP address.


1.1.2 Information Required for Community Services

To provide you with product support and other services related to the Community, we may collect system and application information about the device where you access the Community. Information includes the operating system name, IP address, and cookies.


1.1.3 Log Information

When you use a service, we will log information about your operations, such as the IP address, date and time, URL, account, module accessed, submitted data, and search terms entered.


1.1.4 Your Personal Data from Third Parties

As permitted by law, we may also obtain data from public and commercial sources and third-party social network services. For example, when you use a social network (QQ, WeChat, or LinkedIn) account to log in to the Community, we will record your login account.


1.2 How We Use Your Personal Data

To provide secure, smooth, effective, and personalized user experience, we use your personal data for the following purposes:

n  Alerting you to community activities that may interest you, inviting you to participate in surveys, and sending you other information with your consent. (If you do not want to receive such information, you can opt out at any time.)

n After obtaining your consent, use your community user ID to participate in online activities, such as lottery, voting, and awarding. When you are eligible for the award, we will collect your contact information for the purpose of distributing the award.

n  Providing you with the functions and services of the Community as well as related customer support services.

n  Sending you notifications about service updates and other information.

1.3 Collection and Use of Non-identifiable Data

Non-identifiable data refers to data that cannot be used to identify an individual. For example, Huawei may collect summarized statistics such as the website access count. Huawei collects this data to understand how people use its website, products and services. This allows Huawei to improve its services to better satisfy customer needs. Huawei may, at its own discretion, collect, use, process, transfer or disclose non-identifiable data for other purposes.

We endeavor to keep your personal data and non-identifiable data separate, and use each independently. If personal data is combined with non-identifiable data, it will be treated as personal data.


2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

2.1 Cookies

To ensure that our websites function properly, we sometimes store small data files known as cookies on computers or mobile devices. A cookie is a simple text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device by a web server. Only the server that creates the cookie can retrieve or read the cookie's contents. Each cookie is unique to your web browser or mobile application. Cookies usually contain an identifier, the site name and some numbers and characters. Cookies allow websites to store data, such as your user preferences.

2.2 Web Beacons and Pixel Tags

In addition to cookies, we may also use other similar technologies on our websites, such as web beacons and pixel tags. For example, when you receive an email from Huawei, it may contain a click-through URL which links to a Huawei web page. If you click the link, Huawei will track your visit to help us learn about your preferences for products and services and improve our customer services. A web beacon is a transparent graphic image embedded on a website or in an email. We use pixel tags in emails to find out whether an email is opened. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list of Huawei at any time if you do not want to be tracked in this manner.


2.3 Do Not Track

Many web browsers have the Do Not Track function which sends Do Not Track requests to websites. Currently, major Internet standards organizations have not established policies to specify how websites should cope with these requests. If you enable the Do Not Track function in your browser, all Huawei websites will respect your selection.


3. How We Disclose Your Personal Data

We will not sell your personal data to third parties but we may disclose your personal data under the following circumstances:

Disclosures with explicit consent: After obtaining your explicit approval, Huawei may share your personal data with other parties.

Disclosures to Huawei affiliates: Your personal data may be shared with Huawei's affiliates. As a matter of policy, we will only disclose data that is necessary.

Disclosures to authorized partners: Some Huawei services are provided by our partners. Huawei may share some of your personal data with its partners. Your personal data may only be processed for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes, and only the data that is necessary to offer a service shall be disclosed.  Under Huawei's terms and conditions, you can manage your personal data, such as your account information, at any time. It is your responsibility to ensure that all personal data submitted to Huawei is correct and complete without any false, exaggerated, or any other untrue information. Please note that if you cannot or are unwilling to provide complete and correct information or personal data related to position requirements, you shall be responsible for any consequences incurred. According to relevant laws and policies, Huawei will provide methods for you to access, check, and modify your personal data. Huawei may verify your identity before you access or modify your personal data. For security, you may be asked to submit your request in writing. You also have the right to delete or modify any of your data that we hold. Huawei will respond to your requests as soon as possible. If the deletion or modification of your personal data will render any related services unavailable to you, Huawei will inform you of the risks. So long as your account is active for use of our service, we will retain your registration information. After you deregister your account, we will stop providing products and services, and delete your personal data unless otherwise stipulated by law.


6. International Transfers of Your Personal Data

The servers of our website are deployed in China, and your personal data will be stored on servers in China.
