- The expansion module on controller A must be connected to expansion module A on each disk enclosure. The expansion module on controller B must be connected to expansion module B on each disk enclosure.
- EXP expansion ports can only be connected to PRI expansion ports. Otherwise, services will be interrupted.
- Common and high-density disk enclosures cannot be connected to one expansion loop.
- Each expansion loop of high-density disk enclosures must be connected to two adjacent ports (excluding ports P1 and P2) of the 12 Gbit/s SAS interface module on a controller enclosure, for example, connecting to ports P0 and P1 or ports P2 and P3.
- Two or more disk enclosures need to be connected in multiple loops based on the number of expansion ports on the controller enclosure. Ensure that the disk enclosures are evenly distributed to each loop.
- The configuration disk enclosure must be directly connected with controller A and controller B. Each disk enclosure in an expansion loop must have two independent links functioning as backups for each other to ensure networking reliability.
- The first disk enclosure that is connected to port P0 of slots A0 and B0 on a 3 U controller enclosure must be a configuration disk enclosure.
- The first disk enclosure that is connected to port P0 of slots L0 (IOM0) and R0 (IOM0) on a 6 U controller enclosure must be a configuration disk enclosure. For a 6 U controller enclosure in a 4-controller scenario, a configuration disk nclosure must be added. The first controller enclosure that is connected to slots L0 (IOM1) and R0 (IOM1) must be another configuration disk enclosure.
