Prevent loop into individual VSI

Hello everyone,

Device: CloudEngine S6730-H24X6C

We are ISP, so we have LCO (Local Cable Operator & ILL customer). They belong to separate service VLAN. So based on MPLS network, we configured separate VSI based on VLAN.

In order to prevent loop into individual VSI, we configured loop detection enable under dot1Q termination vid. Below mention is configuration sample,

interface XGigabitEthernet0/0/14.108

 dot1q termination vid 108

 l2 binding vsi UCN_Subir

 loop-detect enable

 loop-detect detection vid 108

 statistic enable both

But suddenly we see the error, please help us to fix it.

Error: The number of ports enabled with loop detection exceeds the maximum value of 128.

Hi Qazik,

After confirmation with experts, the value of this specification is 128. There is no other method just for loop detection on this device, but adjust the network topology to prevent VSI loops.
