It is well known that in some large PV plants, the use of fiber ring network communication is Broadest used. The following are some precautions for the optical fiber:\
The transmit and receive wavelengths of the optical modules at both side of the fiber jumper must be the same. Normally , the optical modules at both side of the optical fiber must be of the same wavelength. The difference is that the colors of the optical modules must be the same. Generally, a short-wave optical module uses a multi-mode optical fiber (orange), and a long-wavelength optical module uses a single-mode optical fiber (yellow fiber) to ensure data transmission accuracy.
Do not bend or circle the optical fiber in use. This increases the attenuation of the optical fiber during transmission. After the fiber jumper is used, use a protective case to protect the fiber connector. Dust and oil stains will damage the coupling of the optical fiber. If the fiber connector is dirty, use a cotton swab with alcohol to clean it. Otherwise, the communication quality will be affected.
1. Before using the fiber jumper, use alcohol and absorbent cotton to clean the end face of the fiber jumper.
2. The minimum bending radius of the optical fiber is 150 mm.
3. Protect the end faces of the core and core wires to prevent damage and pollution. Take dustproof caps in time after removing them.
4. When transmitting laser signals, do not look into the end face of the optical fiber.
5. If the damage is caused by human or other factors, replace the faulty fiber jumper in time.
6. Before the installation, read the instructions carefully and perform installation and commissioning under the guidance of the manufacturer or the engineer of the dealer.
7. If an issue occurs on the optical fiber network or the system, you can use the fault elimination method to test the fault one by one. When testing or rectifying the fault of the jumper, you can perform the connectivity test first. Generally, you can use the visible laser pen to judge the entire fiber link. Alternatively, use the precision optical fiber insertion loss meter to test the indicators. If the indicators are within the acceptable range, the jumper indicator is normal. Otherwise, the jumper is unqualified.
