Precautions for installing cameras

Here are some precautions:

1. Keep the device dry and prevent any violent collision when transporting, storing, and installing the device.

2. Do not push or pull the pigtail.

3. Do not install the camera reversely or place it upside down.

4. Do not block the lens when installing a camera. Do not block the infrared illuminator when installing an infrared camera.

5. Do not touch the camera lens when installing a camera. Otherwise, the camera lens may be damaged or scratched.

6. Remove the protective film from the device after the installation.

7. If the device is not attached with a protective film, clean the lens and housing after the installation.

8. Refer to the following solutions when there is dirt on the camera lens, clear dome cover, or viewing window:

• Dust on the lens: Use an oil-free soft brush or blowing ball to gently wipe off the dust.

• Oil or fingerprint on the lens: First use a soft cloth to gently wipe off the oil or fingerprint and make the lens dry. Then dip an oil-free cotton cloth or lens cleaning paper in the lens cleaning liquid and wipe the lens from middle to edge. If the lens cannot be cleaned thoroughly, replace the oil-free cotton cloth or lens cleaning paper with a new one and repeat the preceding operations until the lens is cleaned thoroughly.
