Hi, everybody!

This post is about the power supply status via SNMP on an S6720 switch. Please see more information about this topic further down.

Huawei S6720

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

I'm trying to obtain via SNMP information about power supply status on an S6720 switch. I need to know if any PSU on the switch is Abnormal or without current input.

Via CLI I see this:

#display  device
S6720-30C-EI-24S-AC's Device status:
Slot Sub  Type                  Online    Power    Register     Status   Role
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
0    -    S6720-30C-EI-24S      Present   PowerOn  Registered   Normal   Master
PWR1 POWER                 Present   PowerOn  Registered   Normal   NA
PWR2 POWER                 Present   PowerOff Registered   Abnormal NA
FAN1 FAN                   Present   PowerOn  Registered   Normal   NA

Does anyone know the SNMP OID I can get this information from?

Best regards.

Hi.

I've tried the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.18, but it gets nothing:

iso.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.18 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

Do I need to type any configuration on switch?

When I try OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.7, this is the return:

Hi.

Is it necessary to enable something on configuration to get this information (OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.18)?

Thank you.

Hi.

I'm afraid this OID is not working on my switch:
snmpwalk -v2c -c community 10.0.200.31 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.18
iso.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.18 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

Huawei Versatile Routing Platform Software
VRP (R) software, Version 5.170 (S6720 V200R010C00SPC600)

Could you check if in any of your switches this OID works?

Thank you.

Hi.

Could you check if in any of your switches this OID works? My switch is S6720-EI running VRP V200R010C00SPC600.

I'm still trying to get via SNMP information about power supply status on a S6720 switch. Has anyone ever done this?

Could anyone try if this OID replies with PSU status (online or fail)?

My S6720 says this OID doesn't exist.

Thanks.
