Problem Analysis

To fix the issue we have followed the steps below:

1. Double check the Power requirements provided by the customer : the Circuit breakers and their capacity

below are the Standards requirements

2

1.1. Above table is showing the requirements but  on site the SBC used the copper fitting 2 in 1  so instead of 4*63A breakers we  had  2*63A breakers

1.2. After remove the  copper fitting  the Problem was still   existing but only Service Boards failed to be Added  1*U210, 1*S216, 1*T220

3

2.  Check if the Power requirements  have been configured through the U2000 and Match the  Hardware configuration in term of Power

2.1. the PIUS Distribution is as below:

PIU 1A-- connected to 1*63A Breaker is connected to the lower part of OSN subrack  to supply the EFI Boards and Cross connections boards

PIU 2A -- Connected to 1*63A Breaker is connected to the Upper Part of the OSN subrack to supply all the Services boards

PIU1B &2B are the backup of the previous one a

2.2.  the Rated Current set for PIU 1A and PIU2A should match the current site configuration

4

2.3. PIU on the slot 68A succeeded to supply the Lower part but PIU on the slot 69 did not because of Shorter copper fitting which divide the RAted current from 63A to 63A/ 2; so the the software and Hardware configuration

were not consistent and Boards failed to be addeed

3. I ve set Remove the Copper fitting 2 in 1 , provide for Each PIU 1 *63A Circuit breakers then Set 63 A for PIU 68  and 63A for PIU 69;

As a result The commissioning SUCCEEDED and The Power consumption are below

POWER CONSUMPTION:

Root Cause

WRONG CONFIGURATION Of the Power distribution from the customer rectifier to the OSN DCDB and Wrong configuration on the Power specifications on the U2000 during the commissioning stp.

Solution Description

1.  To Strictly Respect the Power requirement for the OSN9800U16: 4*63A Circuit breakers, using 25mm2 Power cable; Maximum distance is 30m using this cable type.

2.  To Match the Hardware configuration of the Power with the Configuration through the U2000 , CORRECTLY set the Circuit breakers  rated current.
