  Rewarded HiCoins: 0 (problem resolved)

I have my G0 / 0/1 TO G0 / 0/16 ports ON the S5732 core switch which do not work when I plug a cable into these ports.

the swicht does not show that these ports are faulty or shutdown.

Is there a way to check the status of the ports where I have to change my core switch?

Hi friend,

1. The device at the other end of the remote connection network cable is turned off and not turned on.

2. The network cable is disconnected somewhere.

3. This port of the switch is damaged or has poor contact.

4. The net head on the network cable is incorrectly made, and it is not made in accordance with the standard line sequence, resulting in failure to connect.

5. Restart the switch or log in to the switch and use the command display interface brief to check whether the port status is UP.

6. Enter below the port and undo shutdown all the ports.

If the above troubleshooting method still fails, then the port is damaged, and it is recommended to replace the device.

Hope to help you!

Maybe your switch is damaged and you will need to replace it.

Hello!
You can also call "virtual-cable-test" for these ports to check how they determine cable (if they are for twisted pair). I also have problems with auto speed negotiation with one specific device that work on 100 Mbps. Try to configure link speed manualy.

interface g0/0/1
virtual-cable-test

interface g0/0/1
undo speed neg au
speed 100
