Port forwarding + WAN issue HG8247U

Hi,

I’m trying to setup a port forwarding and I’m facing a WAN issue.

My router is Huawei HG8247U.

Steps that I follow: login to the router IP -  Forward Rules – Port Mapping Configuration – New

Here I fill with my details (as in the image), but the ‘WAN Name:’ dropdown menu is empty.

I click the Apply  button, but then I get an error like this:

I’m going to WAN tab, but there is absolutely nothing, no buttons, no info, nothing (see the below image).

I want to mention that the administrator credential does not work (telecomadmin/admintelecom).


How can I solve my problem?

I looked at your problem description carefully.

Yes, I think the problem with not being able to configure port forwarding is with the WAN configuration.

As shown on the WebUI of the HG8247U, there is no WAN configuration.


Before performing configuration operations, ensure that the device administrator account and password are used.


After logging in to the device web page using the management account and password, perform the following steps:

First of all, in the navigation tree on the left, choose WAN > WAN Configuration. In the pane on the right, click New.

After configuring the WAN configuration, in the navigation tree on the left, choose Forward Rules > Port Mapping Configuration. In the pane on the right, click New.


If you cannot view the New option after logging in to the WebUI using the device administrator account, check with your ISP whether your device is a customized product and provide a solution.

Hi,
If the device is customized by the ISP, you can require the ISP to deliver configurations and solutions remotely.
If the ONT WAN configuration can be configured only on the OLT, pay attention to the following:

Your device is a custom machine provided by the operator. Many functions cannot be configured locally. Please contact your local carrier or device supplier for technical support.
