Port forwarding on HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro 2

HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

I'm trying to configure port forwarding ("virtual server") on a Huawei 5G CPE Pro 2 H122-373 for a small server farm (two servers in an Active Directory). Unfortunately, it is not possible to assign a WAN port twice, e.g. the main ports like 80 and 443. This would be the default configuration as it can be configured on all other routers, including FritzBox and LTE/WLAN routers like the Alcatel HHV40 (an 80 € item). So the Huawei router (a 400 € item that claims to offer the latest technologies) seems to be useless. Please provide some guidance on how to fix this problem or publish a firmware update as soon as possible, otherwise I will sell the router again. Thx and best regards!

No, the device doesn't support NAT load balance, which means it supports only translates a WAN port to a specified internal server.
If you want to translate a WAN port to multi internal server, you might be required to have a more advanced device, such as the USG firewall, which supports a server load balance.

Hy! NAT load balancing is not required. All that is required is normal port forwarding, which is possible even in low-budget devices like the Alcatel HH40, as I described. If the Huawei router does not have this basic feature, it is simply useless, at least for the most common business usage! Maybe the bridge mode with a connected hardware firewall would be a workaround. But on the other hand, it would be easy for the dev team to unlock the normal functions. If there is no resolution within an acceptable time frame, the router goes back to the vendor, it's simple.

Hi, I've been looking for a solution to this problem for a long time.
Yes, this feature is easy to implement. However, since the product is developed according to the requirements of the carrier, carriers do not have this requirement, and therefore this function is not added.
If you are the owner of a personal device and cannot directly contact Huawei personal device staff, you can submit the requirement to the ISP, who then submits the requirement to Huawei personal consumer staff for impleme

Thank you very much for your efforts, I really appreciate it! Meanwhile I solved it myself, as described above: The HUAWEI router in bridge mode with a connected hardware firewall behind it, which does the port forwarding. Good solution anyway, since DDOS attack protection is implemented. A normal router or Fritzbox could also do the job here. Anyway, I'll forward the feature request to the local ISP. If you have a direct contact to Huawei's department in Europe/Austria, please let me know! Thx!

First of all, I'm sorry for the inconvenience and for not meeting your expectations, because each device has a different function and positioning.

Our community is mainly for enterprise devices, Huawei 5G CPE Pro 2 H122-373 is a consumer device.

After confirmation, the device version does not support this function. If you need this function, the personal devices technical support advises you to contact Huawei local personal devices office to submit the requirement. If you can't reach someone at your local office, you can call the personal devices Hotline.

You can get the regional hotline number via https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/hotline.

Thanks!
