Hi,

Yes, the signal arrester work with AP8182. But there are some errors in this connection.
First, the adapter should be connected to power input, not connect to switch.
Second, for the arrester, the “IN” port should be connected to AP, and the “OUT” port should be connected to the adapter.

Then how does the AP communicate with S5720 (AC controller) if there is no cable connected to the PoE switch

There are two Ports on the adapter: “DATA” and “PoE”
The “DATA”port is connected to the switch, and the “PoE” port is connected to the “OUT” port of the arrester
