Hi,

During network integration, AR6280 connected to NE40E and using dot1q termination for connectivity.

When initiating ipv6 ping from AR6280, the ping is not successful. However, if the ping initiates from NE40E, the ping is passed and after that, ping initiate from AR6280 is passed.

When ping from AR6280 to NE40E, the ping failed.

When ping from NE40E to AR6280, the ping passed.

Hello,

When executing the ICMPv6 ping, the device will start by sending out the Neighbor Solicitation packet to the peer and expecting the Neighbor Advertisement packet from the peer. 

Due to hardware performance consideration, by default, a QinQ or a dot1q termination sub-interface is disabled from sending NS multicast packets.

So you need to add the command ipv6 nd ns multicast-enable to enable ping under subinterface.
