Background:
We have received user requests to improve our configuration guide, as well as feedback that some scenario descriptions of Data Communication application features within the guide are too general. Huawei has started working to improve the documentation by rewriting the text for switches. We hope you can look through the new versions and answer a few survey questions. If you are interested, we also invite you to talk to Huawei’s documentation experts online. Your input will be invaluable as we seek to improve our documentation.
Survey questions:
Enhancement 1:
For features related to relatively straightforward scenarios, we have merged configuration procedures with configuration examples. This means the descriptions of the procedures are now supplemented with examples. Please click to see the documentation before merging and after merging.
Question 1:
Is the documentation on "Configuring Telnet Login" (after merging) sufficient to support your work needs?
A:Yes, because ________________.
B:No, because ________________.
Enhancement 2:
We have included an explanation of the maintenance-related functions in the description of principles. Please click to see the Configuration Guide – Device Management.
Question 2:
Do you think that maintenance-related descriptions need to be included in the section on Configuration Guide-Device Management?
A:Yes, because ________________.
B:No, because ________________.
Enhancement 3:
For features related to more complex scenarios, we have consolidated configurations that are shared by different scenarios to avoid repetition. We have also presented the configuration procedures according to their functions, while keeping the configuration examples linked to application scenarios. Please click to see the documentation before enhancement and the after enhancement.
Question 3:
Which writing style do you prefer for Mirroring Configuration?
A:Before enhancement, because________________.
B:After enhancement, because ________________.

Hi
Please find my submission .

Enhancement 1

For features related to relatively straightforward scenarios, we have merged configuration procedures with configuration examples. This means the descriptions of the procedures are now supplemented with examples. Please click to see the documentation before merging and after merging.

Question 1

Is the documentation on "Configuring Telnet Login" (after merging) sufficient to support your work needs?
Answer A
Yes, because  Yes, because, its user friendly for newcomers as well precise as well to share with end customer , partner , Engineers team .

Enhancement 2

We have included an explanation of the maintenance-related functions in the description of principles. Please click to see the Configuration Guide – Device Management.

Question 2

Do you think that maintenance-related descriptions need to be included in the section on Configuration Guide-Device Management?
Answer A
Yes, because its important part , if user keep the maintenance part in mind the chances of Error in implementation are less, in fact maintenance and implementation are complementary to each other and I hope audience will prefer this change.

Hello!
I have a suggestion about documentation generation. I found that there are several documents on the support website with describing of the same features. As an example, I can give L2TP over IPsec configuration of the USG firewall. I found two documents with different images and one more that was equal to one of previous documents.
I also found that it is not very easy to read and implement upgrade guides because they are prepared to the several products and their versions. As result reader need to filter the content of the upgrade guide regrading to its own device and device version. I thought that if document will be compiled to the specific user query it would be more easily to use it.
To reach it I develop small database schema that can be used as the base to develop compilator of the documentation.
[PDAC's August Mission] We need your views to improve our Common Features Documentation!-3045985-1
I focus attention on features of the products that are repeating in several products and can be described once and then used many times. If the text will be stored in one place than all mistakes corrections could be made in that one place and take effect to the all documents. Automatically.
By selection of the required (existing in the product) features descriptions, the support website will be able to prepare complete document for the user with only that text that is useful for him. There could be no paragraphs about different products. And this can be very useful for upgrade guides.
Thank you!
