Log in to the CLI, and run the show consistency_group member consistency_group_id=? command to check information about pairs in the remote replication consistency group. Contents in Running status of the pairs are inconsistent.

Possible Causes

Controller reset occurs during operations of the consistency group.

Impact

Pair state inconsistency in a remote replication consistency group causes data on the secondary LUNs unavailable.

Fault Diagnosis

Figure1 Troubleshooting flowchart for pair state inconsistency in a remote replication consistency group2_en-us_image_0000001073887729.eddx

Procedure

1. Check whether the pair state inconsistency is caused by a synchronization failure during asynchronous remote replication.

  • If yes, go to 2.

  • If no, keep the fault environment intact and contact technical support engineers.

2. Synchronize remote replications again in the consistency group. After the operation is complete, check whether the inconsistency problem is solved.

  • If yes, no further action is required.

  • If no, keep the fault environment intact and contact technical support engineers.
