Hi,

We have two AC6605 controllers in VRRP hot backup configuration and about 200 AP6010DN-AGN. We've noticed that sometimes packet loss occurs on our Wi-Fi network. We checked a logbuffer of the AP our test laptop connected to and found several messages like this:

%WLAN/4/AC_AUTHENTICATE_FAIL(l) [64]:Failed to authenticate services with the peer device (local address=AP1, peer address=AP2, service=StaDataExchange)

Unfortunately, there is no description of service StaDataExchange on the Internet. What is this about? Is it connected with roaming somehow? It seems like the AP couldn’t send some info about STA during roaming. How is it possible?

Please give us a clue how to solve this problem :)

Hello,
From one existed case, this log is about the AP link establish in the 5G-prioritized algorithm. This log is unnecessary and has been deleted in the new AP version(V2R19C00SPC805).
Please confirm whether your current version is lower than that version.

Yes it is, we have V200R010C00SPCF00. But V200R010C00SPCf03 is the highest version available for this AP.

You can just ignore that logs.

Hello,
This error message indicates the local device failed to authenticate services with the peer device.
Cause 1: The service type is Roam, and no peer member is configured for the mobility group.
Cause 2: The service type is Election, and the number of STAs connected to the elected Leader AP has reached the maximum.
Cause 3: The service type is ConfigSync, and the configuration synchronization configurations on the local and peer devices are inconsistent.

Thank you for your reply! But it is unclear which type of service is our log message about? Roam?

It seems like yes. I didn't encounter this kind of error log before. We'll confirm with the R&D guys and feedback to you ASAP.
