packet lose on HG8245H

HiCoins as reward: 1 (problem unresolved)

Hi first of all sorry for my bad English.

We have an HG8245H in our company. We have configured two wan connections on it . One bridged IPoE connection for one of our pbx servers and a PPoE connection for access to the internet.
one Ethernet port on the HG8245H is bonded to IPoE wan and another ethernet port is bonded to the PPoE connection and also connected to my LAN switch.
Now the problem is when the ethernet cable for IpoE is connected to my HG8245H we have lots of packet loss on our internet connectivity. the voice quality is fine but as long as both ethernet cables are connected to the HG8245H the internet quality is really bad. But when I disconnect the bonded ethernet cable to IPoE the internet works really well without any packet drop and latency.

I have tried to change the QoS priority of my PPOE WAN but that was not made any change.
I tried to ssh to router and  ping from my HUAWEI router when both cables were connected and there was not any packet loss.

So could you explain to me please what is the problem???????

Hi dear,
What is the pbx server? and do you check whether the server is normal?
If just review the configuration of the HG8245H according to the information you sent, It looks like normal.
For your problem, we may need to remotely view more information. So you are advised to contact the TAC or Huawei online service to check further.

Hello,
Please find below the solution for your issue

Compatibility between GPON and XG-PON ONTs:

Table 51-1 describes the Tx and Rx wavelengths of GPON an XG-PON ONTs.

Table 51-1 Tx and Rx wavelengths

Type

Downstream Direction

Upstream Direction

GPON

Center wavelength: 1490 mm

Wavelength range: 1480-1500 mm

Center wavelength: 1310 mm

Wavelength range: 1290-1330 mm

XG-PON

Center wavelength: 1577 mm

Wavelength range: 1575-1580 mm

Center wavelength: 1270 mm

Wavelength range: 1260-1280 mm

From wavelengths of XG-PON (asymmetric system with upstream rate 2.5 Gbit/s and downstream rate 10 Gbit/s) and GPON ONTs, if they share the same ODN, GPON ONTs (Table 51-2 lists compatibility) in the earlier stage require wavelength block filter (WBF) for downstream isolation because they are in poor performance in downstream optical signal isolation from XG-PON ONTs. Otherwise, packet loss or even disconnection may occur caused by signal interference. Therefore, the WBF needs to be added on the ONT or optical splitter.

Solution

The WBF is added on the optical splitter for GPON ONTs that are incompatible with XG-PON ONTs sharing the same ODN. Specifically,

  • Male and female connectors.
  • Can be externally connected to the SC/UPC (Shown in the following figure) or AC/APC connector.

  • The time in Compatibility is calculated from the ONT replacement. Detailed markets and BOM codes needed to be queried.
  • For details, collect the ONT SN and provide it to the Huawei technical support engineer for querying.
