Optical cross-connect (OXC) is a more flexible all-optical grooming mode.
Compared with traditional ROADM based on separate boards and inter-board fiber patch cords, OXC uses integrated interconnections to build an all-optical switching resource pool, achieving highly integrated, fiber patching-free, and all-optical cross-connections, and significantly improving the switching efficiency of large-granularity services.
