What Is MBTS Commissioning?
Dear friends, today I would like to share with you how to commission the MBTS (multimode base station).
First, I'd like to introduce the application scenarios of MTBS commissioning.
There are three types of commissioning scenarios:
1. A newly deployed base station
This mode refers to a base station that is newly deployed and one or more modes are deployed on this base station.
2. A mode newly added to a separate-MPT multimode base station
This mode refers to the new mode added to a separate-MPT base station that has been deployed
3. A mode newly added to a co-MPT base station
The differences between the three scenarios are very small. For details, see the following figure.

Introduction of commissioning mode
Commissioning the MBTS based on U2000
1. After a base station is powered on, the remote engineers use the automatic deployment function of the U2000 to commission the base station.
2. A commissioning task includes the following phases:
1. Auto-discovery
Autodiscovery: The OM channel between the base station and U2000 is set up through a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) process.
2. Auto-configuration
Autoconfiguration: After the OM channel between the U2000 and base station is set up, the base station enters the autoconfiguration phase to upgrade the software and update the configurations.
3. Installation and deployment quality testing
Installation and deployment quality testing: The antenna VSWR test, crossed pair connection detection, and intermodulation interference test are performed to check the installation and deployment quality of the third party and ensure that the equipment in the base station meets the engineering installation requirements.
Commissioning the MBTS based on U2000+USB
After a base station in powered on, the local engineers use a USB flash drive to upgrade the software and update the configurations, and the base station sets up the OM channel with the U2000 based on the updated configuration data.
In this case, the base station sets up the OM channel with the U2000 based on the configuration data inside USB without the DHCP automatic establish process.
Note: The USB flash drive must contain the eNodeB software, data configuration file, and commissioning license (when LTE services are enabled).
For the differences between the two methods, check out the image below to see which method you want to use.

This is what I want to talk share with you today, thank you!
great
