Today, I would like to share with you this topic which Introduce the OTU single board optical power requirements in the project
1- Overall requirements:
The received optical power of the OTU board needs to be commissioned to the following range: lower threshold of the received optical power ≤ the received optical power of the OTU board ≤ the upper threshold of the received optical power It is recommended to commission the following values during the actual commissioning of optical power: the received optical power of the OTU board = the median of the upper and lower thresholds of the received optical power + 2dB
2- For the wavelength division side of the OTU board (PIN-type receiving laser)
Lower threshold of received optical power = optical module receiving sensitivity + 5dB.
Receiving optical power upper threshold = optical module receiving overload point-3dB.
3- For the wavelength division side of the OTU board (APD type receiving laser)
Lower threshold of received optical power = optical module receiving sensitivity + 8dB.
Receiving optical power upper threshold = optical module receiving overload point-3dB.
4- For the client side of the OTU board
Lower threshold of received optical power = optical module receiving sensitivity + 3dB.
Receiving optical power upper threshold = optical module receiving overload point-2dB.
