Fault description
The single wave service has a large number of bit errors and frequent interruptions.
Possible Causes
Cause 1: The input optical power of the tributary board or OTU board is abnormal.
Cause 2: There is a problem with the pigtail between the tributary board or the OTU board and the OADM board.
Cause 3: The temperature of the device is too high.
Cause 4: The optical interface of the tributary board or OTU board is not clean.
Cause 5: The tributary board or OTU board is faulty.
Solutions
Cause 1: The input optical power of the tributary board or OTU board is abnormal.
Check the input optical power of tributary boards or OTU boards. If the input optical power is too low, clean the pigtail.
Cause 2: There is a problem with the pigtail between the tributary board or the OTU board and the OADM board.
Check whether the pigtail between the tributary board or the OTU board and the OADM board is aged or bent, which results in a large loss. If yes, replace the pigtail.
Cause 3: The temperature of the device is too high.
Check whether the TEMP_OVER alarm is reported on the NMS. If the alarm is reported, it indicates that the operating temperature of the board is abnormal.
Check whether the temperature in the equipment room is too high and reduce the temperature in the equipment room.
Check whether the fan is faulty. If the temperature of the device is too high due to the faulty fan, you need to replace the faulty fan board.
Cause 4: The optical interface of the tributary board or OTU board is not clean.
If the optical port of the tributary board or OTU board is not clean, use special compressed air to spray on the optical port of the board to clean the optical port.
Cause 5: The tributary board or OTU board is faulty.
If the pigtail, input power, and operating temperature are normal, and the FEC modes of the boards match, replace the receiving tributary board or OTU board. If the error code disappears, the receiving tributary board or OTU board is faulty.
If the receiving end OTU is normal, replace the sender tributary board or OTU board. If the error code disappears, it means that the sender tributary board or OTU board is faulty.
