Hello,
Today, I would like to share with you this topic which describes how to solve the individual channel service interruption.
Fault description
The IN port on the WDM side of the OTU1 board of station B immediately reported R_LOS, R_LOF, IN_PWR_LOW, and OTUk_LOF alarms, and disappeared within a short period of time. The single channel service was momentarily interrupted.
Possible Causes
Cause 1: The protection service is configured, and the failure of the working channel triggers the protection switching, the switching time is too long, or repeated switching.
Cause 2: The pigtail is faulty between the OADM board and the OTU1 board.
Cause 3: The OTU1 board of station A is faulty.
Cause 4: The device temperature is too high.
Solutions
Cause 1: If the service is configured with protection and a fault occurs in the working channel to trigger protection switching, the switching time is too long, or repeated switching will cause a transient interruption of the service.
Use U2000 to query historical alarm data. If a protection switch occurs, the NMS will report the OPS_PS_INDI alarm. Handle the OPS_PS_INDI alarm.
Cause 2: The pigtail is faulty between the OADM board and the OTU1 board.
Check the pigtail. If it is loose, insert the pigtail tightly. If the pigtail has a problem, clean or replace the pigtail.
Cause 3: The OTU1 board of station A is faulty.
Use U2000 to view the historical performance data of the optical power output on the OTU1 wavelength division side of station A. If the output optical power suddenly decreases, it indicates that the OTU1 board at station A is faulty. Replace the OTU1 board at station A.
Cause 4: The device temperature is too high. Excessive temperature will cause single-wavelength wavelength drift, resulting in instantaneous break.
- Use U2000 to query historical alarm data. Check if there are any alarms such as TEMP_OVER. If yes, the working temperature of the board is abnormal. Check the equipment room environment.
- Check whether the fan of the device is normal. If abnormal, replace the fan.
