Other Services Are Adversely Affected During Migration of VMs Using VAAI

Symptom

1. Multiple VMs are configured on a storage system. Oracle database services are running on one VM, and the VM is handling constant read/write access or is executing the SLOB test.
2. The services of those VMs are migrated concurrently, excluding the VM where Oracle database services are running.
3. During the migration process, the performance of Oracle database services deteriorates greatly.

Solution

Run the change full_copy job_information command in developer mode to set the copy concurrency and speed of VAAI. In the command, speed indicates the copy speed and concurrent_value indicates the number of concurrent copy tasks.
