HI All

Could someone perhaps share the best solution on how to change the Route Prefrence for Learned routes via a redundant OSPF Tunnel Interface ?

Scenario:

P router takes the tunnel interfcaes for All LTE sites

PE routers over iBGP Beers take Client CPE point to point connections.

CPE device have OSPF configured with default to prefere the Fibre Connection and LTE Tunnel interface is configured OSPF cost 200

IP-Prefix is included to only route the attached LAN interface and local subnets into OSPF and not any learned routes are thus propegating from the CPE devices.

on the MPLS backbone the Customer VPN is created and OSPF routes is injected into iBGP hence full connectivity is availible.

HOWEVER:

if i turn on my Tunnel interfaces on the redundant links the LTE sites that only have a LTE CPE is battling to reach some of the network nodes , traces indicate that one site with Fibre and LTE enabled takes all the routes for lte sessions. and not the prefered Fibre connections.

@kznfriks
and the ospf choose the routes learn from the LTE link, which has a higher cost than the fiber link, rather than the fiber link.
please check the ospf lsdb, if the LSAs learned from the fiber link and the LTE link are the same? or the LSAs learned from the LTE link are the type 3 LSAs, but the LSAs from the fiber link are the type 5 LSAs.

as @sim_157 said, network topology could help us learn more.

@kznfriks hi,
are you mean two links are connect on the CPE router, one is the fiber connection, another is the LTE connection.
