Hi,
You can consider the following aspects:
1. Area-based design:
Because Type 1 and Type 2 LSAs are flooded only in the local area, the area-based design can reduce the number of Type 1 and Type 2 LSAs in each area.
2. Special areas:
A stub area or NSSA cannot transmit Type 5 LSAs. Therefore, the number of Type 5 LSAs in the OSPF domain can be reduced.
3. Filter LSAs:
The filtering modes are as follows:
(1) The filter command is used in the area to filter Type 3 LSAs in the import and export directions. (2) The filter lsa out command is used to filter Type 3, Type 5, and Type 7 LSAs.
(3) The filter-policy command is used to to filter received routes. Only the routes that match the route-filter are added to the routing table.
4. Route Aggregation:
The not-advertise parameter is added to the summary command to filter routes. Note that the routes in area 0 cannot be summarized in the area where the virtual link is established. Otherwise, a loop may occur.
