Hi everyone,

If we configure BFD with OSPF and Fast rerout (FRR) with BFD then both are used for fast switching means if one link down then directly shift traffic to another link...then where we use BFD and where FRR...whats the difference.

Please help me! Thank you!

Hi there!
Any High availability mechanisms need to:
- Compute Backup path
- Fast Failure Detection - in your case BFD is used
- Fast reroute mechanism - after failure switchover to backup path.
So, in your case:
- BFD will detect path/peer/link failure
- FRR will trigger switchover to backup path when BFD session is down
