Hello,
Today I would like to share with you the OSN6800 equipment newly replaced SCC board reports POWER FAIL alarm case.
Problem Description
Run OSN6800 to replace the new main control board SCC, but after the replacement, the SCC reports the POWER_FAIL alarm.
Process
1. Hard reset this SCC board, the alarm is still reported.
2. Re-plug this SCC board and still report the POWR_FAIL alarm
3. Query the alarm parameters, check the jumpers in the board, and find that 1 and 2 of the battery jumper J1 are in the short-circuit state, pull out the jumper cap and short-circuit it to positions 2 and 3, and then reinsert the board. The board is operating normally and POWR_FAIL alarms.

Root cause
The jumper cap is shorted to the 1 and 2 positions of J1, indicating that the battery is not in use. Generally, for the SCC boards shipped with the whole machine, the battery jumpers are short-circuited at positions 2 and 3, that is, the state of using the battery; for the SCC boards shipped separately, in order to save the battery power, usually 1 And 2 shorted.
Solution
Short-circuit 2 and 3 of J1 to use the battery status.
Conclusions
When using a new SCC board, especially the SCC board shipped separately, the hardware must pay attention to checking the short-circuit status of the battery jumper.
