This time, I will share with you a case of OSN3500 device data backup failure.
Fault phenomenon
During dc server backup get error report: NE does not respond or timeout.

Processing
1. After inspection, it's that the OSN3500 nodes failed to back due to VERSION (5.21.12 .X 5.21.13.X) V1R2 /V1R3 version that doesn’t support backup NE database to NMS, so it’s not related to NMS version. Even old u2000 /T2000 will report failed to backup during backup activates.
2. Current OSN3500 VERSION V1R2/V1R3 needs an upgrade to the mainstream version: V1R10C03SPC208+R10C03SPH231 (required physical Controller is GSCC and physical SCC card is not support).
3.Upgrade version, backup data is successful.
Root cause
Old platform equipment that doesn't support backup NE database to NMS.
Solution description
Need check with the local Huawei office if need upgrade software (need to replace physical card).
