OSN1500 is unmanageble from U2000

OSN1500 is unmanageable from U2000. The NE reported NE_NOT_LOGIN and became offline, however the service runs normally.

  1. Tried to connect the NE through Navigator, it was unsuccessful.

  2. Tried to discover NE through WebLCT, it was unsuccessful.


It is suspected that the NE ID and NE IP changed. How to retrieve the NE ID and NE IP?

hi
while the service is ok , that means the optical signal is ok .so.

1- if the NE is not a a gateway :-
from the adjacent NE check the (NE ECC Link Management) and find the ID of the NE then you can login by navigator and change the ID back .

2- if the NE is gateway , just connect your PC to the NE Ethernet port and open the navigator , the navigator will directly find the attached ip .
note :- the (pc should be in the subnet 129.0.0.0 ) to find the NE-IP.
then you can get to the NE by command line and change IP and ID.

hi, i did not click on the NE ECC Link Management on the adjacent NE, but i did try to click on the DCN Management, there was an error pop out on the window, "The connection has timed out". there was noting shown on the window.

Dear nms_nis!
It should be added that if the IP address of the gateway NE is changed, connect the PC to the ETH port of the device, and use the packet capture tool to obtain the IP address of the device.

the P address of the GNE is not changed because i can login through Navigator for the adjacent NE which has the same GNE.

Dear friend! 

You can follow the scheme provided by Malik3000. Query the ID of the neighboring NE by opening the NE ECC Link Management of the neighboring NE.

In this case, you can only replace the SCC board or clear the database.
