this small post about OSN9800..
- OSN is optical switched network, it's the name for optical cabinets in Huawei.
- there's many types and families for OSN which are WDM and MSTP.
- for WDM we have:
OSN 1800 , 3800 , 6800 , 8800 , 9800.
- for MSTP we have:
OSN 550 , 1500 , 3500 , 7500.
- regarding OSN 9800 is the latest and divided in to many subrack which is as follow :

- we have 2 types of subrack and can divided according to service switching types to 2 main type which:
WDM
OTN
For WDM shelf we can install transponders.
For OTN shelf we can install tributary , cross connection , line boards.
- each shelf can contain mandatory boards like:
