Lets say I want to accept Packet Services from the client. Would those packet services be received by the interface boards or the processing boards of OSN 3500 ? And if they are received by the interface boards then thorugh which board would they be sent over to the remote OSN or NE in the network ?

Dear friend!
For packet services, the OptiX OSN 3500 receives signals from client-side equipment through packet interface boards (such as PETF8 and PEFF8), and then transmits the signals to a cross-connect board. The cross-connect board then transmits the signals to packet processing boards (such as PEX1, PEX2, and PEG8). Packet processing boards transmit signals to remote sites through optical fibers or cables. The reverse function of these processes is also implemented.
