Hello, everyone!
Today, I'd like to share a case with you.
Problem Description
Two sites A and B, A is OSN1800 device, B is OSN8800 device, A use ELOM connect to B's HUNQ2, but OSN1800 device lost management intermittently, no abnormal alarm reported.
Problem Analysis
1. Synchronize NE current alarm, no alarm report.
2. Restart the OSN1800 control card, still lost management intermittently.
3. Change the module of ELOM and HUNQ2, the issue is the same.
Root Cause
Site A ELOM uses 12-9 bytes as DCC communication, site B HUNQ2 uses 12-18 bytes as the DCC communication byte. So the two DCC channels create any error code. Then lead the NE lost management.
Solution Description
Disable the site B HUNQ GCC12-18, forced to use GCC0 to communicate, continuous observation for a period of time.

Suggestion
Different OTU board connect, if use ESC, must keep the communication byte mode the same.
Thank you!
