Hello, everyone.
In this post, I would like to share with you about OSC_CLK_MISMATCH alarm.
The alarm impact on services varies depending on the alarm handling method:
• If the system does not require the IEEE 1588 clock function, replacing the OSC board (TNF1AST4) has no impact on services.
• If the system needs to enable the IEEE 1588 clock function, the system control and cross-connect board or clock board needs to be replaced, which has impact on services.
Possible Causes:
The prerequisites for generating the OSC_CLK_MISMATCH alarm are that the IEEE 1588 protocol is enabled on the TNF1AST4 board and the board is in the clock source priority table. The possible causes of the alarm are as follows:
• The TNF1UXCL or TNF1UXC board is installed on the OptiX OSN 1800 I/II Compact subrack.
• The TNF5UXCM, TNF5UXCME, or TNF5XCH board is installed on the OptiX OSN 1800 V Packet Enhanced subrack.
Procedure:
1. On the U2000, query the board that reports this alarm.
• If the system does not require the IEEE 1588 clock function, you are advised to replace the OSC (TNF1AST4) board or disable the IEEE 1588 clock function of the TNF1AST4 board.
• If the system needs to enable the IEEE 1588 clock function, replace the system control and cross-connect board or clock board that reports this alarm. The configurations of the clock board to be replaced are as follows:
a. For an OptiX OSN 1800 I/II Compact subrack, replace the time board using F3SCC.
b. For an OptiX OSN 1800 V Packet Enhanced subrack, replace the time board using TNZ5UXCMS.
2. Check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, contact Huawei engineers to handle the alarm.
That's all, I hope you like it.
Thank you!
