Next, calculate Psingle according to the 40-channel system or 80-wavelength system.
Psingle(IN)=MAX XdBm IN-10lg40/80
Psingle(OUT)=XdBm OUT-10lg40/80
Lastly, calculate the total optical power.
Ptotal(IN)=Psingle(IN)+10lgN
Ptotal(OUT)=Psingle(OUT)+10lgN
