Hello, everyone!
I would like to share with you an issue about the following error message "Illegal mode. Error Code: 40072" reported by OTN Line Board (NS4M).
Description:
The network scenario is as follows:

Once the OTU4 & OCh have been generated:

when we tried to create 100GE client trail, U2000 reported the next error:

We moved NS4M Line Board to other slot:

but something is wrong because we can't deleted the NS4M Line Board:

The error message "Illegal mode. Error Code: 40072" appeared every time we tried to do any operation on the NS4M Line Board.
We even tried to delete the NS4M Line Board from Navigator, showing the following error:

Solution:
Please check if the "MSI Auto Enable" overhead parameter is disabled which could cause this issue.

Multiframe Structure Identifier (MSI) overhead feature can be enable or disable and set the timeslots occupied by the MSI overheads to be received and sent and other parameters.
The description of "MSI Auto Enable" overhead parameter is below (in the NE Explorer, select the board and choose Configuration > OTN Overhead Management > MSI Overhead from the Function Tree):

In our case, we verified this parameter is disabled. This configuration is wrong, because we interconnect with OTUk services of Huawei devices.
Therefore, we changed this parameter to enabled. After this we can deleted the NS4M Line Board on Slot 19 and the error message "Illegal mode. Error Code: 40072" is not displayed again:

Issue solved!!
