Plz help how the issue related to " Bridge mode of board inconsistent_Error code-1090598268" can be solved while configuring the EoS Service in Optix OSN 3500 through iSmart NCE? Note: Bridge type required 802.1d and while selecting 802.1d as bridge type- bridge learning mode, ingress filter options cannot  be edited..

Hi dear ,
Ethernet boards like EFS , EGS2 , EGS4 use bridge mode according to:-
1- 802.1d which uses MAC address for filtering .
2-802.1q which uses MAC and VLAN for filtering .
3-802.1ad which uses MAC , CVLAN and SVLAN for filtering.

If u have used 802.1q in the board for bridging so u cant use 802.1d at the same time in this board.

So u should keep in using the same bridging protocol for this board .
u should plan for your bridging according to the type of services you have.

Hello,

EGS4 boards support the Layer 2 switching, link aggregation, and multicast functions.

Table 1 lists the functions and features supported by EGS4 boards.

Table 1 Functions and features supported by EGS4 boards
Function and FeatureDescription
Basic functions

Receives/Transmits and processes 4xGE services.

Port types
  • EGS4 boards support 1000BASE-SX/LX/ZX/VX Ethernet optical ports. The optical ports support the auto-negotiation function in compliance with IEEE 802.3z. The optical ports use SFP optical modules. When the multi-mode optical fiber is used, the maximum transmission distance is 550 m. When the single-mode optical fiber is used, the maximum transmission distance is 10 km. The optical modules that can meet different requirements for the transmission distance such as 40 km and 80 km can also be used.

  • N1EGS4 and N4EGS4 boards also support 1000BASE-T Ethernet electrical ports. The electrical ports support the auto-negotiation function. N1EGS4 boards support the negotiated rate of 1000 Mbit/s and N4EGS4 boards support the negotiated rate of 10 Mbit/s, 100 Mbit/s, or 1000 Mbit/s. N1EGS4 and N4EGS4 boards support SFP electrical ports and hot swapping. The maximum transmission distance is 100 m.

Hi friend,
I am using only 802.1d in EGS4 board. After selecting the "bridge type" as 802.1d and after apply its is showing the error as shown in my attachment. Please note this error is showing while I do the configuration through iMaster NCE NMS, but when I configure through U2000LCT there is no issue.

1. Please describe your configuration process, for example, what service is configured on the board, which is the internal port should be reported on the external port
2. Please re-synchronize the NE measurement data. It may be that the previously configured data is not deleted cleanly, and the residual data causes the configuration operation to fail.
Hello, this also has to do with the type of business that you configure.
EPLAN services are based on IEEE 802.1d MAC bridge.
EVPLAN services are based on IEEE 802.1q Virtual Bridge.
In addition, the N1EGS4&N3EGS4&N1EMS4&N4EGS4 does not support the port attribute of Hybrid in the 802.1d bridge mode. If the port attribute of Hybrid needs to be set in the 802.1d bridge mode, the port attribute can be set to Hybrid in the 802.1ad bridge mode to achieve the same effect.

Dear

From the error notice information that the issuses come from inconsistencies configuraion of the board. Have you check and confirm other ports' configuration on the same board ? And please feedback the version of NMS,Network Element and the EGS4 board.
