Hi,

i have ip phone that needs to have a dynamic ip @ and ip of tftp server so i configured a dhcp server on a s67200 huwaei switch.

the configuration is the follow :

 dhcp server gateway-list 172.155.149.1

 dhcp server excluded-ip-address 172.155.149.10 172.155.149.20

 dhcp server lease day 2 hour 0 minute 0

 dhcp server dns-list 172.160.1.13 172.160.1.11

 dhcp server domain-name xxxx.lcl

 dhcp server option 64 ip-address 172.220.150.3

 dhcp server option 66 ip-address 172.220.150.3

 dhcp server option 67 ascii lanpbxconf

The phone have a valid ip adress but fails to obtain the tftp adress.

I've tried to change  dhcp server option 66 ascii 172.220.150.3 but I have the same result ...

Any idea why I have this and how to correct it ?

thank you.

@user_3606116 hello,
as far as I know, option 66 is used to identify a TFTP server when the "sname" field in the DHCP header has been used for DHCP options, in other words, it indicates the server name rather than the ip address.
from RFC 5859, option 150 defines the TFTP server address.

Hi, I've configured the option 64 as a suboption of 43 : option 43 sub-option 64 ip-address 172.220.150.3
