Optics Transceiver Type oid

I'm trying to read the transceiver model via snmp, but the oid hwEntityTransceiverType doesn't return data. Device is one s6730-HI, is there any limitations for this kind of device ?

Hi AGregory,
The s6730-HI does not support hwEntityTransceiverType. On the S6730-HI, the OID of the optical module is hwEntityOpticalType.

hwEntityOpticalType returns the transceiver pluggable format (sfp,qsfp,etc). My idea is to get the type with details like "Transceiver Type :100GBASE SR4 QSFP28"

There's no other OID that can get the information you want. You can run the display transceiver command on the device to view the transceiver type.
