Hi,

The S6720 keeps reporting an optical module unavailability alarm. Why is the alarm still displayed after the corresponding physical interface is shut down?

Hello,
This log is generated when the control plane detects alarms. The shutdown command is run on the service plane, and the management plane and service plane are separated. Therefore, even after the service plane interface is shut down, the MPU still detects that the optical module is unavailable and the alarm is generated. The optical module must be removed to rectify the fault.
