Symptom
The LWX2 board on the OSN 1800 V100R001 equipment provides physical IN1/OUT1, IN2/OUT2, IN3/OUT3, IN4/OUT4, RX1/TX1, and RX2/TX2 optical interfaces. However, only the IN1/OUT1, IN3/OUT3, RX1/TX1, and RX2/TX2 optical interfaces are displayed on the T2000 but the IN2/OUT2 and IN4/OUT4 optical interfaces are absent.
Cause analysis
The principles for configuring an optical interface on the LWX2 board are as follows.
n When the LWX2 board is used to transparently transmit two services at Any rate, the association between the client-side and WDM-side optical interfaces is as follows:
l The RX1/TX1 optical interfaces on the client side work with the IN1/OUT1 and IN2/OUT2 optical interfaces on the WDM side to provide dual fed and selective receiving.
l The RX2/TX2 optical interfaces on the client side work with the IN3/OUT3 and IN4/OUT4 optical interfaces on the WDM side to provide dual fed and selective receiving.
n When the LWX2 board is used to regenerate two channels of OTU1 signals, the association between the client-side and WDM-side optical interfaces is as follows:
l The RX1/TX1 optical interfaces on the client side work with the IN1/OUT1 optical interfaces on the WDM side.
l The RX2/TX2 optical interfaces on the client side work with the IN3/OUT3 optical interfaces on the WDM side.
Procedure
Configure the logical IN2/OUT2 and IN4/OUT4 optical interfaces for the LWX2 board. When you add a logical LWX2 board, the logical IN2/OUT2 and IN4/OUT4 optical interfaces are added automatically if optical modules are installed on the physical IN2/OUT2 and IN4/OUT4 optical interfaces. If no optical modules are installed on the physical IN2/OUT2 and IN4/OUT4 optical interfaces, you need to manually add the logical IN2/OUT2 and IN4/OUT4 optical interfaces on the T2000.
