Hello, everyone!
I will continue to give us a description of the different types of optical connectors. In a previous article, I described the ST, SC and LC optical connectors. I emphasized the great popularity of SC and LC optical connectors. Today I will describe the following connectors: E2000, FC and MT-RJ.
1. E2000 optical connectors
E2000 optical connectors are one of the most popular optical connectors. These optical connectors are high-quality optical connectors and because of that the price is high.
E2000 is born with a protection cap, and it protects the ferrule from dirt, dust and scratches. This is a latched push-pull locking connector.
There are three versions of this optical connector:
SM E2000/APC,
SM E2000/UPC, and
MM E2000/UPC.
These optical connectors are used in many applications: LANs, FTTH and data networks.

2. FC optical connectors
FC connectors used to be very popular. They were widely used, but are slowly being phased out today. FC is an abbreviation from Ferrule Core connector. Once the connector is installed, its position is maintained with total precision. In the next picture, we can see this optical connector.

3. MT-RJ optical connectors
MT-RJ was designed for FTTD (Fiber To The Desk). This optical connector has two optical fibers and it looks like a RJ45 connector. There are female and male connectors or plug-and-jack format. It is not popular today, it is not widely used. We can see this optical connector in the next picture.

I will continue in the next article.
Thank you!
