optaining the Mac adress from the user for the external Portal

Hi

at the moment i want to use a external portal server with anonymous login, but i want that the people get registered in our radius server with their mac address. Because of this i want to know how a portal server (ubuntu, apache web server) could get the mac adress. if it is possible to get a source code for thisi would be happy
