ONU - EA5821 Bridge VLAN

  Rewarded HiCoins: 3 (problem resolved)

I have OLT (EA5801-GP08), ONU (EA5821 24 Ports) and ONT (EG8280P). I have created Bridge VLAN on the OLT for the devices to talk to each through in VLAN 118. Its a client requirement to create bridge-vlan.

Now, every device behind the ONT is fine, they can to talk (ping, trace) to every other device within the same VLAN. 2 devices on the same ONTs works fine but 2 devices on the same ONU are not able to talk to each other. Here is the configuration from OLT. I didn't find any option to create vlan-bridge on the ONU itself.

[vlan-srvprof]
  <vlan-srvprof>
 vlan service-profile profile-id 10 profile-name "vlan-bridge"
  user-bridging enable
  commit
 vlan bind service-profile 118 profile-id 10

Dear friend,

If the EA5821 is not the H825XCWA control board, you can also create a VLAN bridge to implement Layer 2 communication between ports.

The command is the same as that configured on the OLT.

If the EA5821 is an H825XCWA control board, you need to configure the ports that need to communicate with each other.

For example, eth1 and eth3 must be able to communicate with each other.

huawei(config)#undo isolate port 0/0/1

huawei(config)#undo isolate port 0/0/3

thanks

Hi Jason, I just found a forum post for EA5821 which some what addresses my question because I also have H825XCWA board.

He has suggested to use "undo isolate port" command here is the link.

https://forum.huawei.com/enterprise/en/canceling-mdu-layer-2-isolation/thread/622790-100181

But it is not clear that it will be applied for every port regardless of VLAN or not. Secondly, I need to specifically provide the ports. It doesn't accept all ports.

-----------
ONU(config)#undo isolate port ?
---------------------------------------------
Command of config Mode:
---------------------------------------------
frameid/slotid/portid<S><Length 5-18>
Frame ID/Slot ID/Port ID

Dear friend!
You can try the solution provided by Negoz. If the problem persists, You can directly create a VLAN on the ONU and bind related ports to the VLAN.
Thank you!
