Hi there.

My ONT is showing no internet access.

It was working fine until this happened. It is an EG8145A5 ont. All the lights are fine and also the optical signal is also under limit.

Please help me, thanks.

Hello, friend!

With regard to the phenomena you describe, you can do the following:

1. Verify that the Light button on the ONT is turned on. Note that some ONTs do not have this button.

2. Check the WLAN indicator on the side of the ONT.

If the WLAN indicator is steady on, the Wi-Fi function of the ONT is enabled. Search for Wi-Fi signals near the ONT to prevent Wi-Fi signals from being blocked by obstacles.

If the WLAN indicator is off, the Wi-Fi function may be disabled. Wi-Fi can be enabled using either of the following methods:

a. Press and hold down the WLAN button on the side of the ONT for more than 5 seconds to enable Wi-Fi.

b. Log in to the ONT web page (with reference to section How can I log in to Huawei ONT web page). On the WLAN > 2.4G/5G Basic Network Settings page, select Enable WLAN. Click Apply to make the configuration take effect.

a

Note: For some ONTs, the navigation path to the Wi-Fi function configuration is as follows: Advanced Configuration > WLAN > WLAN Basic Network Settings.

3. If no Wi-Fi network is found even after Wi-Fi is enabled, navigate to WLAN > 2.4G/5G Basic Network Settings and select Broadcast SSID to ensure that the Wi-Fi name (SSID) is not hidden. Click Apply to make the configuration take effect.

b

Note: For some ONTs, the navigation path to the Wi-Fi function configuration is as follows: Advanced Configuration > WLAN > WLAN Basic Network Settings.
