Hi, I deliver CATV to ONTs over EDFA amplifiers, this is classic cable television. I used HG8247H, HG8247 and HG8012H and with these models, I do not have problem with control CATV. I control CATV over NMS software. I do not use OLT for control CATV. With model EG8143A5, I do not have control CATV. OLT does not see RF port. Hi, Then, you can use the NMS to modify and control CATV service parameters. The EDFA amplifier is only a transmission channel for CATV services, and the ONT is a carrier for carrying services. As far as I know, the ONT configuration does not involve service configuration or modification but involves only network parameter configuration.

With models HG8012H, HG8247 and HG8247H, I do not have problem for power on/off CATV and other services.

Hello, friend! I am sorry! Because I do not know the status of your device, I understand that you use the NMS to control the ONT. Now, you want to disable the CATV port of the ONT through the NMS. As mentioned above, you cannot disable the CATV port through the ONT. I simulated this operation on NCE based on your description.
On NCE, right-click the user-side CATV port and choose Modify from the shortcut menu. Then, set Operate Status to off to disable the CATV port. If your problem is not resolved, leave a message under the comments section. Thanks! |
