Hello, everyone!
This post will tell you a case about one LOA board loopback.
Issue description
When GE services are provisioned on an LOA board, a user needs to perform a loopback on the client-side port. However, an error message is displayed indicating that the hardware does not support the loopback.
Handling Process
1. The board is TN11LOA, the device is OSN 8800, and the target service type is GE.
2. When inloops or outloops are performed on client-side ports, a message is displayed indicating that the hardware does not support the inloops or outloops. According to the version documentation, inloops or outloops are supported for GE services.
3. Check the U2000 version. found that the U2000 version is the matching version.
4. The customer reported that the service type was GE. Checked the service type again and found that the service type was empty, indicating that the service type was not set. Set the service type of the corresponding port to GE and performed a loopback. The fault was rectified.
Root Cause
The service type is incorrectly set.
Solution
Set the service type correctly. Then, the fault is rectified.
That's all, I welcome everyone to leave a message and exchange in the comment area!
