Today, I’d like to share a case.
Problem description
1. The U2000 V100R006, FTTH terminal HG8247 V100R003, and V800R008C05 OLT are pre-deployed.
2. The U2000 has successfully imported the pre-deployed tables. After the HG8247 is online, the broadband services are running and the voice services fail. The ONT tasks fail to be created. No XML files related to the ONT are generated in the FTP root directory.
Handling process
1. Check the U2000 and the pre-deployed tables. The parameter settings are correct and the ONT VAS profile names are correct.
2. The HG8247 is online.
3. Based on the ONT VAS profile service process, when the ONT is online, the OLT needs to report the trap (GPON 54, EPON 70) that contains the terminal type and version information to the U2000. The U2000 selects the correct profile based on the terminal type to create tasks.
4. Check the SNMP trap configuration on the OLT. The U2000 server trap host is not configured on the OLT. The U2000 cannot receive the trap that contains the ONT information.
5. Configure the SNMP trap on the OLT. The service can be delivered after the ONT is online.
Root cause
The problem occurs because the SNMP trap is not configured on the OLT.
Solution
Configure the SNMP trap on the OLT and enable the trap sending.
