Today, I'd like to share with you a knowledge point. The details are as follows:
Due to the complexity of access devices, packet loss statistics in E2E services cannot be queried. However, an xPON user's fault can be located using discrete commands or commands for querying packet loss statistics of a single chip.
Service Forwarding Architecture
A forwarding path for an xPON user contains four types of ports, the uplink port, intra-board port, inter-board port, and user port.
The uplink port is used by an MA5600T to connect to an upper-layer device. The port is visible and provided by an upstream board or control board. The port is mandatory in a forwarding path.
The intra-board port connects the MA5600T's control board to an upstream board, or a control board to a service board. It is an internal port and provided by the control board, upstream board, and service board. The port is mandatory in a forwarding path.
The inter-board ports are two ports bound together. The ports are internal ports and are on different upstream boards. They are available only when two upstream boards are bound. The ports are optional in a forwarding path.
The user port is a port on the MA5600T for connecting to a user. It is an external port and provided by a service board. The port is mandatory in a forwarding path.
I hope it will be helpful for you. Thank you!
