HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi team!

Currently, the customer has the next topology (Figure 1). The gateway of the ONT is configured in the OLT, also the OLT has configured the OSPF protocol against to MPLS network.  The customer is planning to connect a second port of the OLT to Carrier that will provide a connection in L2, which will connect to NAT Firewall (Figure 2).

Questions:

1. What configuration options or recommendations can you suggest balancing outgoing traffic from the OLT to the MPLS network and the Carrier network (UFINET)?

2. Does the OLT have the option to perform routing based on source IP  (PBR), via VLANs? If yes, please provide details for this type of configuration.

Thanks!

Hi friend.

For question 1:

No configuration is available to balance outgoing traffic from the OLT to the MPLS network and carrier network (UFINET).

For question 2:

Yes. You could use the policy-based-route command.

The policy-based-route command is used to create a policy-based routing (PBR) and enter policy-based-route mode.

The undo policy-based-route command is used to delete the created PBR.

By default, no PBR is created.

Usage Guidelines

  • A PBR matches the packets of a specified inbound interface based on the configured ACL and forwards the matched packets to the next-hop configured on the PBR.

  • When a PBR has applied to the Layer 3 interfaces, the configured parameters of the PBR must not be modified, and the PBR must not be deleted.

For more details, please click: policy-based-route

I hope I can help you.
