Hello,
Today I would like to share with you the OLP Optical Line Protection switching settings.
Optical line protection mainly considers the large capacity of the service signal. It mainly protects the service channel for transmission, and uses redundant optical fiber resources to perform hot backup of the service transmission channel. When the main channel has serious misleading or the optical power of the main channel drops, it will automatically The service signal is switched to the backup channel for transmission, and the switching time is less than 100ms. The service is interrupted only when the optical fibers of the main and backup channels are disconnected.
The optical fiber of the main and backup channels cannot be the optical fiber in the same optical cable at the same time. It is better to separate the optical cables into aerial and soil buried optical cables, so that it has real protection significance.
The OLP board is equally divided into two parts at the sending end and sent to the main fiber and backup fiber for transmission. At the receiving end, the optical power of the main and backup fibers is detected in real time, and selective reception is realized through the optical switch of 2 select 1. When the OLP detects that the absolute value of the optical power of the main and backup channels is greater than 3dB, the POWER_DIFF_DEFECT alarm will appear; if the backup channel is greater than 5dB of the active channel, it will report the backup channel optical power difference over limit alarm (POWER_DIFF_OVER), protection switching occurs, and PS appears at the same time Switching alarm.
The OLP line protection switching diagram is as follows:

The priority of the switching conditions from high to low is as follows:
Clear (CLRSW)
Protection lock (LOCKSW)
Forced switching (FORCESW)
Signal failure (R_LOS alarm)
Signal degradation (POWER_DIFF_OVER alarm)
Manual switching (MANSW)
Waiting for recovery (WTR)
